Loneliness

Darkness looms large and slowly creeps to claim whatever light is left. The rays of hope are nothing but lengthy illusory shadows and hope is now a forbidden four letter word.

Bouts of unhappiness and sorrow envelop me. Analysis becomes futile. Is it empathy for people - for they refuse to see what is clear and beautiful, for they complicate simple things to such convoluted levels that untying the problem itself becomes the focus rather than the desire to attain The solution. Perhaps, thats the goal of it - to forget the solution and worry about the problem itself. Or is it simply a manifestation of my own boredom - the lack of exciting things to do, the laziness to do the things which are actually exciting? Or maybe it is simply another mechanism of keeping my head busy by ingesting it with a bit of sorrow.

Oh, Teacher!, where art thou?

Time for you to have that adrenaline rush, roomie...
The only problem with us is that we dont know how to make best use of our time until it is too late...
You need to go on a looooooong drive in the middle of the night just cos you felt like it....

I think its a manifestation of lack of perspective. I read this book recently,
"The Road Less Travelled" by M Scott Peck,
on how we can attain happiness by embracing love (not necessarily the romantic kind). Read it if you can. You may find some answers to your questions
