March of the Penguins: The Movie
I watched the remarkable "March of the Penguins" today. Yes, a little bit late but I have mentioned about my delayed reactions (except in badminton courts) earlier... Anyways, lets shift focus to the Penguins here. The cameramen and directors had done a splendid job obviously. Remember that surviving in the polar colds, with winds that can knock the bejesus out of a penguin, is not an easy task for a human (even if they work for National Geographic).
The narration was humorous at parts and embellished the video, which was perfectly stiched to match the story. The penguins did a good job (unintentionally I assume) and all in all, it turned out to be a pleasant hour and a half of movie watching. Some of the shots were brilliant like the ones where they show a leopard seal chasing the penguins or the shots of penguins rushing to jump into the water (and the BLUEEE water ripples and the entire sequence is shown in slow motion). My favorite though was the scene when a mother penguin pushes her rather shy kid to go out and explore the world. After much resistance, our friend lazily ventures out, throws up his little arms in delight and begins to quack and squeal in delight!
And don't forget to take someone who appreciates such movies. If you married it, excellent. If not, pick up your phone and...

It is indeed a beautiful movie. Went with The Mr and after a few minutes there was an addition to the BGM -- his soft snores :)
Pinched him and made him sit through the movie :D
@kumari: lol! he was nice enough to come with you to the movie and you pinch the poor guy!
Came across this movie twice already today... I am not in the Americas so I can relate to the agony of delayed responses.
"If you married it, excellent." Does 'It' refer to the partner? Being rather politically correct are we? ;-)
So dude, now that ur back to the blogging world... I might just make a comeback too... Not that I did much when u were around ;) but I did answer that riddle of urs... Dont know how I became author of the blog though... Still beyond my comprehension.. But who the **** cares?
@pinkmoon: welcome! the 'it' of course refers to the partner. using a he/she might make me gender biased; so i shoot for political correctness. ;-)
@erstwhileroomie: i have been recommending that forever dood! upon answering the riddle, you are on top of the list now - but worry not, fierce competition is on its way. you are now an author and can contribute to http://xyfactor.blogspot.com by posting there (you clicked on a link in an email you got -- can't believe you click on links without reading whats in there) :D
Well, roomie... saw ur name there and was more intrigued by the contents of the blog than the email... Hence, clicked and the rest is history as they say...
@erstwhileroomie: okay! c'mon fellows, give this guy a run for his money. he has solved two of the three problems so far.
@~a~: i was visiting a friend of mine recently and his wife was complaining about his passion to make movies ditching his mechanical engineering job at an engine manufacturer. imagine her utter surprise when lc hears this out, gets all excited and we start making plans for making a movie together!
@a: thanks! watch the movie a multiple number of times when it comes out!
